La Traviata
During the summer of 2021 Samual made his return to the
stage after 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic. His return saw
his role debut of Alfredo in Verdi's La traviata. The beautiful
Al. Ringling Theater, built in 1915, was designed after the
grand French opera houses and is a must see if visiting
Baraboo, Wisconsin.

Sometimes opera as an art form allows for performances in
interesting venues. These performances took place on the steps
of the Badia delle Sante Flora e Lucilla in Arezzo, Italy. This work
features a Mezzo-Soprano playing a man in the title role.
Oftentimes referred to as a pants role, these roles were
originally performed by a castrato.
